I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker, with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the UVA (Go Hoos!). I believe that building a positive connection, with the people I work with, is the most important aspect of counseling. I strongly believe in building upon your strengths, and I will work with you to help you achieve your goals.

My goal is to provide you with a safe space and help you learn the tools to begin or continue your journey with confidence. The hardest step is asking for help. Let’s overcome your struggles together!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, with an undergraduate degree in Psychology. I have worked with individuals during various stages of their life for over 10 years with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. I understand that life and all of its surprises or uncertainties can be difficult to navigate. Sometimes we feel alone, lost, and overwhelmed. It often feels impossible to ask for help. I am here for you and so proud of you making it this far! I consider it an honor and privilege to work with men and women of all ages through their challenges. Taking a person-centered approach, together we will set attainable goals and develop strategies to utilize during the difficult moments. I look forward to working alongside you as you take steps toward peace, confidence, and overall mental wellness!

Life can be unpredictable, and when circumstances happen that leave us feeling powerless and overwhelmed, even the simplest tasks can feel impossible to complete. Our experiences can leave us feeling disconnected from our friends and family, pessimistic about the future, and fully depleted, body and soul. Believing we are broken, incapable of healing, or unable to lead a life we always envisioned, we can develop unhealthy habits and lifestyles that result in further isolation, shame, and pain.

My goal as your therapist is to support you without judgement on your journey towards self-love, growth, and healing by offering a safe space to work through your experiences. With compassion and empathy, empower you to grow beyond your pain into the healthiest and most authentic version of yourself. I am excited to meet you and help you during this season of life.

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, mindfulness, and somatic experiencing in my practice and am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I have specialized training in Play Therapy and enjoy integrating creative and narrative interventions to meet the needs of my clients. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma & PTSD, stress, peripartum anxiety/depression, infertility, life transitions, women’s issues, work burnout, relationship conflict, grief/loss, religious issues, and issues with self-esteem.

    Therapist-Owner

Most people have had to deal with difficult situations in life, that have shaped the way they are today. Sometimes, these challenges lead us to be stuck, irritable, or hopeless.

Whether it be a significant trauma, anxiety, or depression, I assist individuals in reinforcing their strengths, resilience, and confidence, so they can dismantle the obstacles preventing them from moving forward.

If you think something from your past may be a roadblock to you being the best version of yourself, we can work to move past it together.

Some of my training includes: EMDR, TF-CBT, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/Tapping) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I also conduct Juvenile Forensic Evaluations for the state of Virginia.
